Hospital Cash Back Plan

Recover-care pays the insured person a lump sum benefit per day in the event of hospitalisation. The insured person may opt for a daily benefit of R400, R600, R800 or R1 000. The benefit is payable from the fourth day of hospitalisation. This cover is ideal for people who are not receiving a monthly income and receive remuneration through commission. The maximum age at entry is 54 year old.

Benefit

If a person is hospitalized for 13 days and has selected R1,000 cover per day, then the benefit is calculated as per the table on the right. Benefit payable - 10 days x R1.000 = R10,000

Limits

Maximum benefit payable is 45 days of hospital confinement.

Waiting periods

There is a three month waiting period on all policies, except in the event of an accident. Premium rates.

Claims procedure

Follow your medical aid's hospital pre-authorisation for hospital admission.
Turnberry must be furnished with the following:

Written notice of his claim within 6 months from treatment for such Incident
Supply in writing any such proof or other information as Turnberry may reasonably request, which would include a hospital account providing the following information:

The pre-authorisation number
The ICD 10 code for the condition / tariff code
Admission and release date and time

Any claim in terms of this Policy will prescribe after 12 calendar months from the date of occurrence of the insured Incident if the claim is outstanding and not a subject of a then pending court case
